In a Region like Piedmont, where for over 300 years the fundamental requirement for the Aperitif is the “Vermouth of Turin” (drunk neat or expertly mixed in cocktails), the Fresh Seasonal Truffles (White Truffles of Alba and Black Truffles of Piedmont) and the Preserved Truffles (Creams, Sauces, and Condiments) available all year round cannot be missed. The differences between aperitif, apericena and stately banquets
The aperitif is generally accompanied by some appetizers and enjoyed before lunch (between 12:00 and 13:00) or dinner (between 18:30 and 19:30), and is often consumed at the bar counter (but sometimes also seated), in approximately 15/30 minutes.
The apericena is instead consumed around dinner time, usually from 18:30/19:00 and can last until 22:00. You can order a cocktail, a glass of wine, a beer or another drink accompanied by single dishes or assorted tastings. Essentially, they are real dishes based on pasta, risotto, vegetables, meat and fish, elegantly prepared, traditional recipes, but also vegetarian and vegan, and very often truly Gourmet dishes. There are no fixed menus, the dishes can also vary every evening based on the discretion of the chefs, the season and the availability of Fresh Seasonal Products.
And finally, there are also stately banquets for events or for evenings with a significant number of People, who by booking in advance, can spend in a room entirely reserved for them, where they have free access to the entire buffet offered by the restaurant.
